Iceland

Sparsely populated, yet abundant with rugged natural beauty, and rich with a 1,100 year old history, Iceland is the perfect getaway for those looking to retreat from the congestion and rigors of the daily routine.  Explore black sands, natural hot springs, jagged lava fields, and verdant valleys.  Among our thoughtfully arranged adventures we will visit the famous Blue Lagoon.  Named one of the 25 Wonders of the World, and purported to having healing properties derived from the geothermal water, the Blue Lagoon has a unique composition, featuring three active ingredients – Silica, Algae & Minerals, making the water appear an otherworldly blue.

Eldestar

We have partnered with the Eldhestar Farm, just 30 minutes outside of Reykjavík in the heart of Iceland‘s south-western countryside.  Scenically situated near the volcano Hengill, from the farm’s central vantage point we will enjoy day rides through rolling meadows, dip in unpolluted hot springs, listen to the rush of glacial streams, peak inside hidden valleys, and learn the secrets of dormant volcanoes.

Eldhestar specializes in matching rider to horse for all ages and abilities.  We thoughtfully selected Eldhestar to host this retreat based on their commitment to personal service, safety and an environmentally friendly operation.

Reykjavík

Before we depart, we will visit stylish Reykjavik the world’s northernmost capital located on the coast.  Colorful houses, innovative dining, and fun nightlife are just a few of the delights this energetic city has to offer.
